Playing alongside teammate and childhood friend Martin St. Louis, Perrin and St. Louis spearheaded the University of Vermont to the Frozen Four in 1996 where they lost to Colorado College in double OT. St. Thanks to his chemistry with his friend as well as the unprecedented success St. Louis was able to have in the NHL despite not being drafted, Perrin was signed by the Lightning the year that they made their run to the Stanley Cup final where they defeated the Calgary Flames in seven games. Perrin didn't dress for any of the games but was instrumental in helping the team secure their berth in the playoffs. Perrin would go on to play two full seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers before spending the last ten years of his playing time in Europe.

MARTIN ST. St. Louis still holds many scoring records at UVM, and despite coming out of college undrafted made the roster of the Calgary Flames eventually being signed by the Tampa Bay Lightning where his career took off.

TIM THOMASTim Thomas guarded the keep for the University of Vermont (UVM) during some of the best years in the team's history, culminating in a trip to the Frozen Four where they lost in a controversial double-overtime game. Thomas still holds many of the records at the University. A late bloomer, Thomas languished in the minors and international hockey for many years before finally get a "last-chance" with the Providence Bruins. The rest is, as they say, history...
